Stupid is as Stupid does…

Let’s talk about one of my favorite subjects…Stupid People.  Notice the capitalization? that’s because Stupid People are a category of human onto themselves and as such they deserve to wear Stupidity as a title, not just a description.
My Father used to tell me there is a difference between stupidity and ignorance.  Ignorance can be cured with a little knowledge, stupidity however is more often then not fatal.  I have no problem with ignorance, it’s the stupidity that makes me crazy!
Take the word “stupid” for example.  Many people will tell you not to use that word.  Parent’s in particular will tell their children that it’s not a nice word.  We classify the word stupid as we would a racial slur and that is because the stupid among us have reached a majority.  This is certainly evident by the last presidential election.  There is no other explanation for it other then the fact the terminally stupid, the phenomenally stupid have become a majority in this fine world of ours.
And why shouldn’t the stupid thrive in our country?  We have enacted an astonishing number of laws designed to protect them.  Helmet laws, seatbelt laws, etc.  We have to do this in order to protect the stupid from themselves.  If you ride a motorcycle without a helmet then, quite frankly, you deserve whatever injuries to your head you may receive.  The same goes for wearing a seatbelt.  If you’re doing 90 MPH and wreck your car, receiving injuries that may have been prevented by a seatbelt, you deserve it.  But wait! that’s not all, behold the airbag! Just in case one of our blithering idiots manage to actually get a driver’s license (and why shouldn’t they?  You don’t even have to speak or read english) and find themselves in a wreck without that seatbelt.  What’s that you say?  You haven’t a shred of common sense?  Don’t worry citizen we’ve  spent decades enacting various laws and rules to ensure your safety so that you may live a long and useless life converting oxygen to CO2.  The fact that many of these idiots are alive is because it’s illegal to kill them!
We have successfully undermined Darwin’s entire theory of evolution.  Throw it out  the window folks, it no longer applies.  Instead of the strong and quick and intelligent among us surviving, we shall protect out village idiots with everything we have so they may thrive and go forth and create more village idiots!  Where do you think all these laws come from anyway?  They come from the politicians.  They know they must protect the stupid among us.  If the intelligent reach a majority they know that they’re out on their asses!!!  Only the truly stupid can keep them in the lifestyle they’ve grown accustomed to!
Don’t worry gentle readers, this is a subject that I will revisit often. In the mean time, if you find yourself stuck in traffic and begin wondering about the people around you locked safely in their plastic and metal rolling living rooms, wondering which of them are the truly, terminally stupid, I propose this:  If you see a car with a plethora of stick on chrome accessories available from pep boys, or maybe even a set of plastic testicles hanging from a trailer hitch, look no further friends you’ve found another one!
